AB The equipment is based upon the idea that optimum stunning effect is obtained by bringing the stunning voltage as close as possible to the point in the brain where the sensibility is highest. This is near Tentorium Cerebelli. This is achieved by shooting one or two bolts into the brain. By using this system the stunning voltage may be reduced to "safe" for the operators. The total current flow will go through the sensitive parts of the brain. This will be giving better effect in relation to the systems used today by which part of the stunning current is passing through the brain and some of the current along the surface of the head depending upon the place of contact. The penetration into the brain by the relatively thin electrodes is achieved by a sudden release of an antipressure on the electrodes. By this the pressure on one side of the "piston" will give an instant penetration. Also one electrode might be used and in this case the other electrode may be fastened to the "ground" on which the animal is standing
