AB The performance of electrical stunning in abattoirs is being investigated with regard to animal welfare. The results emphasize the necessity of appropriate training for all persons involved with the stunning and slaughter of livestock. The discussion includes problems associated with stunning. References are made to technical equipment used for monitoring electrical stunning and personal safety precautions.
